Young Innovator Program for Kids in Bangkok

From digital design to physical object — in 8 weeks. Kids design, iterate, and print real prototypes they take home.

3D Printing class for kids in Bangkok

What is 3D Printing?

3D Printing is Arc Innovate's flagship maker program. Over 8 weeks, children aged 7–10 learn to use Tinkercad (beginner-friendly 3D design software) to design a solution to a real problem — then print it on our 3D printer and take it home. Every session follows the design thinking process: students don't just learn to operate a 3D printer, they learn to think about why they're designing what they're designing. The result is a physical prototype, a stronger design mindset, and a child who knows they can make real things.

What Happens Each Week

Week 1

What is Design Thinking?

Introduction to the design thinking process — why we empathize before we build.

Week 2

Find a Real Problem

Students identify a problem from their own life worth solving with a physical object.

Week 3

Tinkercad Basics

Learn to navigate 3D design software — shapes, sizes, and spatial thinking.

Week 4

First Draft Design

Design a first version of your solution in Tinkercad. Quantity before perfection.

Week 5

Feedback & Iteration

Peer review and redesign — why version 2 is always better than version 1.

Week 6

Print Day 1

First print run. Students see their digital design become a physical object.

Week 7

Test & Refine

Test the prototype with real users. What works? What needs changing?

Week 8

Final Print & Showcase

Final version printed and presented to parents at the end-of-term showcase.

What Your Child Gains

🖨️

3D Design Skills

Children leave knowing how to use Tinkercad — a real-world 3D design tool used by makers, engineers, and product designers worldwide.

🧠

Design Thinking Process

The full Empathize → Define → Ideate → Prototype → Test cycle, practiced through a real physical project over 8 weeks.

💪

Maker Confidence

Knowing you can design and build a physical object from nothing is a confidence shift that stays with a child for life.

🔍

Spatial Thinking

3D design develops spatial reasoning — a skill strongly correlated with performance in maths, science, and engineering.

🔄

Iteration Mindset

Students print, test, and redesign — learning that improvement comes from trying again, not getting it right first time.

🎤

Presentation Skills

Every student presents their prototype and design process at showcase day — building communication and confidence.

Who Thrives in This Class

✅ Great fit if your child...

Loves building, making, or taking things apart. Curious about how things are made. Enjoys solving practical problems with their hands. Interested in technology, engineering, or design.

💡 No experience needed if...

Your child has never used 3D design software — that's completely expected. Tinkercad is beginner-friendly and taught from scratch. No prior technology experience required.
